Description

Nonprofit organization committed to preserving jazz as an uniquely American tradition through education and performance programs. Jazz on the Rocks provides music scholarships to talented young people throughout Arizona. It funds the Sedona Youth Jazz Band. SJoR produces an annual Jazz Festival in Sedona as a fund raiser attended by approximately 5,000 people over a week of free and paid Jazz events. National and regional artists perform and inspire kids in Sedona schools. SJoR is sponsored by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, The National Endowment of the Arts, many commercial and corporate sponsors as well as individual members.
