The Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts has been nationally recognized for its quality performances, commissioning of new works and arts education programs, contributing to Scottsdale’s national reputation as a leading arts community. The Center’s artistic mission is to present quality, traditional and contemporary arts, cultural and arts education events; to create opportunities for audiences to have thought-provoking experiences and interactions with artists and speakers; to create events of interest to world-wide audiences; and, to foster creative expression, diversity in thought, and awareness of cultural heritage. The Center’s arts education department provides hands-on arts experiences throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, that nurture personal artistic expression, promote arts accessibility for all people, foster tolerance and communication through cultural exchange and empower the arts to address issues that create a positive, healthy and productive community.
