Description
School Health Link Inc. (LINK), a comprehensive health clinic for children opened their doors in Silvis Illinois on August 1, 1995. The population to be served was the United Township High School students and their nine feeder schools. The LINK quickly expanded to include school age (pre-school through high school graduation) children in Rock Island County. As the patient care list continued to grow and after conducting needs assessments and public interest meetings, a second LINK clinic was opened in the city of Rock Island on November 1, 2000. The LINK became a 501(c)3 organization in 1997, so that it would have the ability to obtain additional funding in order to expand and grow its services.
