Description
Faith In Action/Volunteer Action For Aging (FIA/VAA)is designed to assist isolated seniors and disabled adults so that they are supported in their efforts to maintain their independence in their homes and communities as long as possible.
Our charity has many programs that offer assistance and aid in our mission. For example, FIA/VAA has: Friendly Visitor, Telephone Friend, Small Home Repairs, and Grocery Shopping.
These are all services designed to offer support, companionship, conversation, reading and assistance and/or help with occasional errands. The main goal is to reduce loneliness and isolation when there are no friends or family members available. Visiting times are scheduled according to the availability of the volunteer and client.
