Description

The SAWGRASS NATURE CENTER & WILDLIFE HOSPITAL, is a non- profit 501 (C) (3) fully funded by donations, grants and fundraising efforts.
Our mission is to "educate the public about our environment and the many species it contains, to provide excellent care for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife, and to promote healthy living and outdoor activity".
The Center is located in Sportsplex Park on 5 acres of land leased from the city of Coral Springs, Fl. The center is a place where children and adults can come to learn about our Florida environment and wildlife, visit our animals and walk a nature trail to a beautifully restored South Florida wetland preserve.
The Center also includes a Wildlife Hospital where injured, sick and orphaned wild birds, mammals and reptiles will be rehabilitated and released.
