Description
SaveABunny is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue group. We rescue over 250 rabbits each year and consider each and every rabbit an individual with his or her own story and special needs. We rescue, spay and neuter, and find homes for domestic rabbits that would otherwise be euthanized due to shelter overcrowding, or behavioral or health issues.
According to the ASPCA, rabbits are the third most frequently euthanized animal in the country. Rabbits are as intelligent as cats and dogs and learn their names, use a litter box like a cat and bond for life with their mates and human guardians.
SaveABunny excels at “special needs” rescues in addition to adoptable rabbits, and is frequently the only organization that will assist a special needs rabbit. Though the necessary veterinary treatment can be expensive, providing tender care and good quality of life for these neglected, abused or traumatized rabbits is an integral part of our unique mission.
