SCDF’s mission is to preserve, protect and restore the Indiana Dunes and all natural resources in Northwest Indiana’s Lake Michigan Watershed for an enhanced quality of life. SDCF’s mission-driven activities protect and enhance some of the most biodiverse habitat found in the United States including, but not limited to:
• Globally rare dune and swale habitats
• Threatened fens and sedge meadows
• High quality wet prairies
• Strategically important riparian areas and more. . .
SDCF’s efforts have protected more than 400 acres in Northwest Indiana to date.
