Description
Through SAVE A STAR Drug Awareness Foundation we hope to:
RAISE AWARENESS OF DRUG ABUSE and the disease of addiction through SAVE A STAR partnership programs, school and community forums, special events, and the local media
PROVIDE SUPPORT TO families on how to communicate with their children about drug abuse and addiction, as well as ways to identify and respond to drug usage
HELP INDIVIDUALS IDENTIFY the presence and sources of drugs, their dangers and effects, and behavioral signs of a possible drug user
CREATE EDUCATIONAL TOOLS to help users, loved ones and community groups understand and seek sources for help
INFORM AND EDUCATE PARENTS on how and why they need to monitor young people's internet, email and cell phone activities
