Description

Sarvodaya USA currently works with the Sarvodaya Shramandana Movement of Sri Lanka. Since the tsunami a major part of our focus both in the US and Sri Lanka has been on rebuilding the communities affected by the disaster. However, as many of the tsunami related rebuilding is coming to an end and the escalation of violence in Sri Lanka has become a major challenge, we are currently refocusing our energies in the peace-related work through our National Awakening program. Besides working in Sri Lanka, Sarvodaya USA is supports some Sarvodaya inspired local initiatives both in the US and other countries, especially in Nepal.
