Description
Sandy Cay Inc. (SCI) is a nonprofit organization operating in NW Ohio. SCI provides services and supports for at-risk children & families to help those being served to overcome barriers so they may reach their full potential. SCI runs The Bryan Center, a full day program serving students ages 3-21 with autism, PDD & Asperger's Syndrome. The Bryan Center's specialized program addresses each student's individual needs through a behavioral perspective. Services encompass academics, sensory integration, speech, social skills & vocational skills. Another division, The Coral Reef Project, provides tutoring, mentoring & summer services for students both with & without disabilities. Mentors assist youth in maneuvering through the sometimes confusing task of maturing into healthy adults. Mentors uphold Christian values while having fun, maintaining a positive outlook & strengthening family bonds. Prevention through education, skill building & guidance are the underlying themesof SCI's Programs.
