Description

The mission of the San Antonio Botanical Society is to support the San Antonio Botanical Garden in its role of connecting people to the plant world through experience, education and research.

The San Antonio Botanical Society is the non-profit support organization for the San Antonio Botanical Garden. In this public/private partnership the Botanical Society has brought major capital improvements to the Botanical Garden including the Lucile Halsell Conservatory, upgraded children’s facilities, and the Texas Native Trail renovation. Community events and programs sponsored by the Society (Dinosaurus Tex, Gardens by Moonlight, Art in the Garden, and Shakespeare in the Park) heighten awareness of the Garden. Marketing, programming, and public relations further extend the role of the Botanical Society in making the Botanical Garden a compelling attraction for the City of San Antonio.
