Description
The Samaritan Women of God (SWoG) is the moving faith of a Praise and Worship ministry founded in October 2007 to use dance as a way to minister and relay a message of hope to people who have experienced trauma at the New State Conference Women in the NAACP Domestic Violence Forum. The Samaritan Women combine Word Music and Movement to address social issues. “Dance is the hidden language of the soul and of the body.” It is the goal of The Samaritan Women of God to depict worship through dance, inspiring people to exchange their lives for a life in Christ. The dance ministry team consists of youth (age eight), through adult dancers (up to age 50), from different churches and diverse walks of life. Although the members live in New York State from as far as the Bronx to Westbury they travel between Long Island, the five boroughs, the tri-states (New York, New Jersey, CT) and other states to provide ministerial dance services.
