Description
The Safe States Alliance (formerly STIPDA) is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to serve as the national voice in support of state and local injury and violence prevention professionals engaged in building a safer, healthier America.
Safe States represents the diverse professionals that make up the field of injury and violence prevention. To advance this mission, Safe States engages in activities that include:
* Increasing awareness of injury and violence throughout the lifespan as a public health problem;
* Enhancing the capacity of public health agencies and their partners to ensure effective injury and violence prevention programs;
* Providing educational opportunities, training, and professional development for those within the field; and
* Convening and collaborating with other national organizations and federal agencies to achieve shared goals.
