Description
Since its inception in 1980, Safe Sitter, Inc. has grown to become the only national nonprofit organization devoted entirely to babysitting training. Safe Sitter® provides young adolescent students the skills necessary to ensure nurturing babysitting care and to respond appropriately and confidently to medical emergencies.
The program emphasizes the magnitude of responsibility a young person accepts when he or she becomes a babysitter. In order to preserve the consistency and integrity of the curriculum and the educational experience, the Safe Sitter® program is offered exclusively by Safe Sitter® trained-Instructors at registered sites, such as hospitals, YMCAs, and many other youth and community-minded organizations.
