Description
The Royall House Association owns, preserves, and interprets the 18th century Royall House and adjacent Slave Quarters, located in Medford, Massachusetts, and believed to be the only remaining freestanding slave quarters in the northern United States.
The Royall House Association explores the meanings of freedom and independence before, during, and since the American Revolution, in the context of a household of wealthy Loyalists and enslaved Africans.
