Rowing Team at UGA

The Rowing Team at UGA was established back in 1995. It was founded by 2 Men and 1 Woman. Our team has grown these past 17 years to just over 80 members. We compete regionally and nationally, often leading to an undefeated season and a season full of medals. To remain competitive, we practice at our boathouse in Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, Georgia. Although the drive is 30 minutes out, our team still remains dedicated and continues to grow. We also give students the opportunity to run and take ownership in a complex nonprofit company. This gives students the ability to become better acclimated to the business world when they graduate from UGA. We host community service projects yearly to help other organizations in the Athens area such as The Thomas Lay Afterschool Program and Fort Yargo State Park.
