Description
The Ronald McDonald House offers a temporary home-away-from-home for families with a critically ill or injured child receiving treatment at a San Francisco hospital.
During their stay, guests are provided with a comfortable bedroom, warm meals, laundry facilities, Internet connection and convenient access to basic amenities. If not for the Ronald McDonald House, many would sleep in hospital waiting rooms or their cars, and get their meals from vending machines in order to stay near their child’s bedside.
Our cost to care for a family is approximately $153 per night, and includes food, utilities, lodging and other services. Though families are asked to contribute $10 a night for their stay, no family is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.
We are able to assist families in their greatest time of need with the financial and in-kind support of generous individuals, groups, business and corporations in our community. Ronald McDonald House of San Francisco is a not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is eligible to receive contributions deductible as charitable donations for federal income tax purposes.
