Description
The Rock Creek Allinace is a non-profit grassroots organization based in northern Idaho working to protect Idaho's Lake Pend Oreille and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness Area in Montana from a proposed underground hardrock copper/silver mine. If built, the Rock Creek mine would generate pollution inperpetuity impacting the historic Clark Fork River and Lake Pend Oreille, place wilderness lands and lakes at risk of drainage and collapse, and threaten local wildlife populations including protected grizzly bear and bull trout. The Rock Creek Alliance seeks to stop this mine through public education and organizing, and through the courts.
