Description

Riversdale is the c. 1801 Federal home of George Calvert, descendant of the Fifth Lord Baltimore, and his Belgian wife, Rosalie Stier Calvert. The non-profit museum is home to the furnished historic house, interpreted gardens and orchard, and a Visitor Center. Open for tours and a variety of events throughout the year, Riversdale is owned and operated by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission. Volunteers and fundraising are coordinated through the 501(c)3 Riversdale Historical Society.
