Description

Student Leadership Program is a course for students who exude and maintain a high level of excellence in both academics and citizenship. These students are one of the most visible leaders and role models on campus. Since most of their assignments are executed under the microscope of the entire school, the students are held to a higher standard.

Students will develop life-long, invaluable leadership skills, such as public speaking, being organized, integrating technology into their daily lives, time-management, and conducting formal meetings. Students also learn how to perform the duties of their elected office. These duties include planning and executing school activities, assemblies, student recognition awards, dances, spirit week, school finances, and end of year field trips. Student Officers direct their committee members throughout the year while committee members rotate committees every quarter, therefore allowing them to hone in on a variety of leadership skills.
