"The corporation is established and organized as an ecumenical body, exclusively charitable and educational and religious, having as its purpose to provide opportunity for men and women as adults, and boys and girls, to be close to and move into the wilderness, to grow spiritually, intellectually and emotionally through finding that which is creative and re-creative in the natural world, to grow in like manner through listening to and exploring with and sharing with, and worshiping with those of different religious traditions, vocations, cultures and races.
"Taking seriously the need to rediscover the wholeness of the christian vision and wisdom, and wishing to move forward on the road which has brought us to where we are, this corporate ecumenical body aspires that each individual who comes to its ranch may grow in ability to recognize Christ in his fellowman and thus, when leaving, be renewed in spirit and love, as well as mind and body, being better able to give and to serve."
