Description
Ridgeway converted to a charter school in 2001 when Winona Area Public Schools was considering closing the Kindergarten to Fifth grade elementary school. The Ridgeway Community Association (RCA) was formed in 2005 for the primary purpose of providing a facility that could serve both student and community needs. RCA’s first step toward that goal occurred in May 2006 when the school building and its 6-acre site were purchased from the Winona School District.
