Description
Ride On teaches horseback riding to children and adults with physical and mental disabilities. Foun ded in 1994, Ride On is a 501 (C)(3) not-for-profit corporation serving 170 riders each week at two ranches. Our staff includes ten nationally certified riding instructors and six therapists and we are a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Premier accredited center. Ride On offers several programs: Hippotherapy, which emphasizes therapy and always involves a licensed physical, speech or occupational therapist, Therapeutic Riding which emphasizes recreation, riding skills and fun on horseback and equine assisted psychotherapy which involves a licensed mental health professional. We also offer able-bodied lessons for siblings and the general public. Ride On offers the only accredited Hippotherapy Program in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
