Description
RAIN is a Sacramento area no-kill (not-for-profit, tax exempt 501(c)3) animal rescue and adoption agency which focuses on the rescue of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies from the local animal control facilities in the Sacramento area.
Our Mission Statement:
To provide no-kill companion animal rescue and adoption services, including spay and neuter, veterinary care, and foster care of abandoned and abused animals. To inform the public about responsible animal guardianship, humane treatment of animals and the importance of controlling pet overpopulation.
We rescue our animals from local animal shelters (Sacramento City Animal Control, Sacramento County Animal Care and Regulation, Lodi Animal Control and Stockton Animal Control). On rare occasions, we also rescue animals that are in desperate situations, where the rescue makes the difference between life and death.
