Rescue a Million invests in our future by saving children and the environment.
Rescue a Million currently helps save children in 50 countries by providing their parents with small loans. With these microcredit loans, parents start or expand small businesses and generate income to provide for their children’s basic needs and education. As each loan in repaid, the funds continue to be lent out, perpetually helping other families.
Rescue a Million also saves old-growth forests by cultivating plantations of fast-growing hardwood trees as an alternative lumber source. These trees are ready to be harvested after only 7-10 years, and when they are sold, a portion of the proceeds goes to expand Rescue a Million’s work with both the environment and children.
Rescue a Million is a 501(c)(3) non-profit project of the National Heritage Foundation and shares its federal tax status (Tax Identification Number 58-2085326).
