Description

Opening its doors 2007, San Diego. Provides recovery-based services to adults with mental health and/or addiction challenges; conducts workshops on mental health recovery principles and practices and how to implement them throughout in organizations; a peer-run non-profit organization; is building a peer workforce that is making a difference in California; train peers as Peer Support Specialists because it adds meaning and purpose to their lives by transforming their past experiences into healing for others (a most significant factor in moving recovery forward in individual lives, within organizations and the service system); offers of services that create opportunities to empower people and organizations to recover; education programs that enable people to develop self-help skills: WRAP, WELL, and Medication for Success. Training for peers and professional staff equips organizations with the tools to transform their operations to a recovery-based model and how to use them.
