A local affiliate of the national Rebuilding Together program (www.rebuildingtogether.org).
We rehabilitate the homes of low income and elderly and families in Carbondale Township, Illinois. Our goal is to help people stay in their homes in safety and comfort by providing repairs they are unable to accomplish on their own. All work is done without cost to the homeowner. Most work is provided by volunteers in the community. Wherever possible, the homeowner and his/her family work along with our volunteers.
Fundraising is necessary to pay for supplies and materials for our annual work day, held each September. We hope to work on 8 homes this year.
