Description
Reach Out and Read (ROR) promotes early literacy by making books a routine part of pediatric primary care. ROR trained pediatricians give literacy-related advice to parents and a free, developmentally and culturally appropriate book to each child from the age of six months to five years at every well-child visit. Through this inexpensive, regular intervention, parents will learn that reading aloud is the most important thing they can do to ensure that their children enter school ready to learn and poised for future academic success.
