Description
Founded in April 1998, Rainbow City Band is a non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington.
RCB is a non-audition community band consisting of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight members from all around the Puget Sound area. While most of our members are musicians, we also have non-playing members who support the band's rehearsals and performances and—in the summer—a flag corps. Our goals are to develop and sustain our musical talent; to develop long-lasting friendships among our own members and with other musical and LGBT groups with whom we interact; to promote visibility and acceptance of gays and lesbians in the community at large; and to have fun doing it all.
