Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network:
What does RAIHN do?
The Rochester Interfaith Hospitality Network is a non-profit 501 (c)3 corporation established in Rochester New York, USA and is registered with the New York State Charity Bureau under #20-39-38.
RAIHN assists homeless families to achieve sustainable independence.
The RAIHN Vision:
RAIHN is recognized as a model of social justice and advocacy by social service providers and the community at large as the premier provider of services to families that have been temporarily-displaced from their homes. We will accomplish this premier role by achieving the highest levels of independence and lowest recidivism rates for our guest families. We do this through superior and recognized case management, through collaborative interfaith partnerships, through a rich and fulfilling volunteer network of faith communities, and through an unparalleled record of efficient investment of community resources. Our commitment to families first, and to respecting diversity will continue to earn us a solid foundation of support from the Rochester community and will continue to hold us in the highest esteem of our guest families and caring volunteers.
RAIHN Values & Identity Statement:
We believe homeless families deserve the highest quality array of services that are delivered with professional, consistent, caring and faithful actions that empowers our guest families to reach sustainable independence in a timely manner.
We believe in respecting all of our family guests, volunteers, staff, and faith communities regardless of age, sex, race, religion, marital status or family make-up.
We believe that the suite of services from RAIHN must be delivered with integrity, faith and grace such that the reputation of RAIHN, as well as everyone associated with the organization, will be of the highest level in our local community and also will be seen as benchmark within the national IHN and other homeless service organizations.
Cooperation & Partnering:
We believe that RAIHN must seek-out partners who can help provide the full suite of services to guest families for those areas where we are currently weak, and to share referrals to provide a full complement of requested services to our guest families.
We believe that establishing a solid foundation for fundraising and grant-making is critical to the continued sustainment of programs that our guest families, staff and faith community volunteers need in order to reach our common vision.
Volunteer and Leadership Fulfillment:
We believe that the first-hand experiences of the staff, board of directors, and volunteers of RAIHN must be fulfilling, engaging, and positive, and that these experiences will encourage continued support and growth of the network.
We believe that cultural competency is a key tenet of RAIHN that is reflected in the tailored services and volunteer engagements.
We believe that RAIHN can become a benchmark model of social justice and advocacy for our guest families, volunteers, and community we serve.
