Description
In 1944, Rabbi David L. Silver z”l, saw a need to provide Jewish children in Central Pennsylvania with a strong academic program that incorporated the rich traditions and valuable lessons of their heritage. He met that need by founding The Yeshiva Academy in Harrisburg, PA.
Today The Yeshiva Academy is a progressive, modern school that welcomes all Jewish children. Our rich, challenging curriculum helps students kindergarten through 8th grade achieve the intellectual and social skills needed to succeed in their lives and careers. At the same time they gain appreciation for the values of Jewish life and are taught the tenets of good American citizenship.
As a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg, The Yeshiva Academy welcomes children from all streams of Jewish life—affiliated and unaffiliated.
The Yeshiva Academy is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a private academic school.
