The Purdue Timmy Foundation is an organization that focuses on sustainable health care in third work countries. The Purdue chapter is one of several college chapters that work year round to collect medical supplies and monetary donations. All donations made to the Purdue Timmy Foundation go straight to it's partnering organizations and to areas in Ecuador with no health care. The group has to collect enough medical supplies (pain relievers, blood pressure and diabetes medications, and sanitary items) to support the communities surrounding Quito for four months before the next chapter can return. A group of twenty-five people, including medical professionals and Purdue students, take a week and go to Quito, Ecuador on their own independent funding to deliver medications to the people of these communities. The organization also has numerous volunteer projects working with children, other charities, and relieve efforts here in the United States.
