Description
Prudence Conservancy is a charitable land trust dedicated to preserving the unique character and protecting the natural diversity and beauty of Prudence Island. Since it's founding, the Conservancy has protected 725 acres of Prudence Island from development and preserved it for future generations. In total, the Conservancy owns 230 acres, manages another 277 acres and holds conservation easements for another 240 acres. Prudence Conservancy works to strengthen the sense of community on the island by sponsoring a variety of activities which foster an appreciation for the natural beauty of the island. The Conservancy's success would not be possible without the tireless efforts and generous gifts and donations of both islanders and mainlanders.
