Description
The mission of PIFF is to showcase independent American and international films, to nurture aspiring independent filmmakers and honor industry luminaries, to preserve and sustain cinema as an art form and educational forum, and to add to the creative and economic vitality of our community. The Festival presents more than 50 independent narrative and documentary films in 9 town venues, with most introduced by their creators, The Filmmaker Symposium in Town Hall where the Filmmaker on the Edge Award is presented, Special Events and Sing-A-Longs in Town Hall, a Youth and Diversity Program, Six Major Awards, and the "Breakfast With …" where filmmakers and audiences discuss industry issues over breakfast.
