In 1984, the dream began - a dream of introducing a loving, laughing, approachable Jesus to the world in a casual, outdoor environment. This dream became a reality with the opening of The Promise in November 1989.

What began as a passion play has become an exciting, live musical drama, a texas tourist destination, and a powerful testimony to the entire world.

For the past 18 years, The Promise has powerfully portrayed the life and words of Jesus Christ from its beginning in Glen Rose, Texas, to productions in Branson, Missouri, Moscow, Russia, Seoul, South Korea, and New York City. In 2007, The Promise in Glen Rose, prepares for its 19th consecutive season of spreading the word of Jesus Christ at the Texas Amphitheatre in Glen Rose Texas with superior acting, and some of the best voices in Christian Music today.
