Description
Project: VISION, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 2003 with a mission to provide youth of Chicago’s Chinatown and Bridgeport communities with tools for educational, professional, personal, interpersonal and civic development. In the fall of 2004, volunteers piloted a homework tutoring program in borrowed space at the Chicago Public Library Chinatown Branch and Valentine Boys and Girls Club in Bridgeport. Since then, Project: VISION has moved on to its own space in Chinatown and has reached over 250 youth with its programs while remaining primarily volunteer-run. Currently, 60 youth, with 100 percent from low-income families, participate in the after school programs.
