Description

Project LINK is a community based, non-profit organization dedicated to providing community support for families and their children that live in Hillsborough County, Florida. Project LINK serves as a catalyst, by fostering linkages with support agencies and service programs. Project LINK targets at-risk, low income families from early childhood to high school levels that have been identified by the school district as at-risk of suspension, high truancy rate, academic failure and lack parental involvement. Project LINK is committed to empowering residents of the community by improving parent-child relationships, thereby reducing truancy and dropout rates; improving grades and attitudes about school; reducing discipline referrals; improving mental health status of both the child and parents, which contributes to the reduction of child abuse and neglect.
