Project Compassion Year Founded: 2003 Number of Staff: 6 Mission Statement: Project Compassion (Project Compassion Soldier Fund, Inc.) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2003 by Kaziah Hancock, a professional Utah artist. PC, now numbering 5 artists and 1 office manager, provides a gallery-quality, 18"x24" original oil portrait of every American in active military service who has died since the terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001 to their designated primary next of kin. A second portrait can be requested for the Mother and/or Father no cost to them.
