Prevent Blindness Georgia is a nonprofit health agency, founded in 1965 as the state affiliate of Prevent Blindness America, the nation’s leading volunteer eye health and safety organization. The organization provides early-detection vision screening for prekindergarten children, vision screening training, eye exams for uninsured homeless, elderly and working poor adults, public education, advocacy for vision issues, and vision research.
