Description
The Potter League is an animal shelter and humane society located in Newport County, Rhode Island. Approximately 2000 homeless and stray animals are sheltered each year. Most are either adopted out or returned safely to their owners. The Potter League also has humane education programs, volunteer opportunities, dog obedience classes, a pet loss support group, makes pet visitations to nursing homes, provides financial aid to low income families for spay/neuter of their pets, provides temporary housing for the pets of domestic violence victims and more.
