Description
Portland Ballet was founded in 1980 with a mission to enrich the community through ballet training, education, outreach, and performance. Portland School of Ballet programs include CORPS, the performing arts high school partnership with Portland High School; CityDance, our elementary school residency program; Lecture-Demonstrations and Youth Concerts, which bring an interactive dance experience into the schools and theaters; and Adaptive Dance for children with physical and mental challenges. Portland Ballet Company is a small company of professional dancers. The Company performs throughout the year, presenting highly regarded contemporary choreography as well as full-length classics. PBC regularly collaborates with many of Portland’s distinguished arts institutions.
