POOR Magazine is a grassroots non-profit arts organization that is dedicated to providing extreme media access, education to communities of color struggling with poverty locally and globally. All of POOR’s revolutionary education and advocacy programs are focused on teaching non-colonizing, community-based and community-led media and art with the goals of creating access for unheard voices, preserving and de-gentrifying rooted communities of color and re-framing the debate on poverty, homelessness, disability, immigration/migration and race locally and globally, as well as creating short and long-term social change and racial justice.
