The Polk Museum of Art is a private, not-for-profit organization governed by a volunteer 36-member Board of Trustees. The volunteer Board of Governors assists with long range and resource development.

Polk Museum of Art will be a leading innovator among Florida's visual arts museums.

Mission:
As an arts leader in Florida, Polk Museum of Art educates and inspires the community through creative and diverse exhibitions; the acquisition and care of a permanent collection; cultural alliances; and compelling events and programs.
