Plasencia Math Science Magnet is located on the campus if Betty Plasencia Elementary School near downtown Los Angeles. The school operates on a year round 90/30 calendar, Track A.
We are an academy for mathematics, science and technology-a school of choice. Parents and students who request to come can expect a rigorous academic program where all students have the right and opportunity to learn and be successful. The emphasis is on math, science, however we teach all subjects. We recognize that reading is a tool for dicovery for students to use to enticing new worlds.
Our school is part of the integration program designed to desegregate schools. The school population is comprised of a rich variety of ethnicities, languages and cultures.
