Non-profit 501.c3. generating not an 'alternative' to the current psycho-pharmacological methods and models of mental health, but a distinctly different approach to the mental symptom.

Beginning in 1998 in Los Angeles, CA, PLACE makes room for a purely clinical and topological approach to the mental symptom in the manner of Lacan.

Our aim here is to use this site to help to generate an intrinsic economy at PLACE that would not found its theory and practice upon an exterior politics of universities, therapeutic licensing, and government agencies.
