Description
We operate a full-scale food garden in the Pisgah View Apartments, a long-standing housing project in West Asheville. Produce is sold or given to consumers directly from the garden site. We host community events such as the Green Jobs rally, a fall festival for children, and other gatherings promoting environmental and civic awareness. We are starting a program that will give a formal structure to our interaction with the children of the community so that we can specifically educate and involve children and youth in the garden.
