Description

Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) brings together the legal, arts and cultural communities to share strengths, extpertise and their mutual commitment to protecting artistic and cultural expression for everyone. Through legal services, educational programs and community building events for artists, lawyers and arts and cultural organizations, PVLA empowers our community to make the Delaware Valley a preeminent cultural center and a great place to live.
PVLA was founded in July of 1978 to provide legal services to artists and non-profit art and cultural organizations. Through our 600 attorney volunteers, PVLA provides service in several fields, including, but not limited to, entertainment law, copyright, IP, non-profit development and formation, contracts, litigation and tax law. PVLA views its role as that of a critical link for artists and cultural organizations to the legal and financial assets that the Philadelphia community has to offer.
