Description
The Pet Safe Coalition, Inc., (“Pet Safe”) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, IRC s. 501(c)3 organization working to mitigate loss of human and animal life in the event of disasters requiring evacuation. Pet Safe provides an informational program of brochures and literature hand-outs as well as speaker-presentations that are targeted to address specific community needs. The primary objective of the Pet Safe program is to help people develop their own plans to evacuate their pets. Pet Safe works with local veterinarians, government and public and private shelters to develop plans for a limited number of residents whose own evacuation arrangements for their pets fall through.
