Description
Perkiomen Valley Academy (PVA) is an Alternative School providing a non-residential, co-educational treatment program for at-risk youth ages 12 through 18. PVA wishes to have its students reach their full potential in a safe, emotionally supportive, drug-free environment. The PVA program is designed to therapeutically assist students who have experienced difficulities with or have problems as a result of physical, sexual and emotional abuse; negative self-image; substance abuse (the student's or someone close to them); anti-social community behaviors; self-destructive behaviors; poor family relationships; communication deficits; destructive attitudes toward authority figures; alienation within the public school system and a history of academic or social failures.
