Description
Founded in 1980, People for Animals, Inc. is a nonprofit animal welfare organization dedicated to ending animal suffering. We were chosen by the State of New Jersey to participate in a pilot program to reduce animal overpopulation, and in 1985, opened the first Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic of its kind in this State. Over 6,000 spay and neuter surgeries are performed in our clinic yearly, thus preventing the birth of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats. In addition, we are the recipient of several grants from several prestigious foundations.
The other service that we provide is a Pet Rescue and Adoption Program. This Program, staffed by volunteers, provides medical care, food and shelter to rescued stray and abandoned animals until permanent, loving homes can be found. Adoption Days are held every week at a variety of locations.
